Movie

Had a great time making my movie, got it done to exactly how I wanted it, then low and behold my computer will not let me email it to the teacher. Just shows as soon as you think everything is perfect you get smacked in the face with something else. Guess I will have to bring the ol' reliable laptop and get it figured out Tuesday!

Web Page!

I am really having fun creating a web page. Although it has been difficult to find pictures that are not copyrighted I have enjoyed the work so far. I created my web page as if I was already a teacher which makes it difficult because I don't know exactly what I will be doing but I guess thats the point of the assignment. Does anyone know if this webpage is the portfolio assignment? Let me know. Great class looking forward to next week's class.

Web tools

I was not in class but decided to look at these web tools myself. I really enjoyed them. My favorite was the checklist. I think it will be helpful to make sure you are grading assignments properly. I also liked the test generator. That would be a helpful tool because you can save tests you make and it gives you a variety of options instead of just multiple choice. I also liked cranberry I do not think it was part of the class assignment for tuesday but I use index cards to study almost everything and loved this website. I enjoyed them all very much and need to copy these websites so I do not loose them.

Can anyone help?

I cannot find the paper that I wrote me website on and I cannot remember how to get to it. Can anyone help me or tell me what to do? At least the website that we created them on. Having three kids who tear through your stuff all the time you can never tell what they may have done with it. My daughter has a thing for ripping things. Please help!

Around the world

How weird is it to see that people from all over the world is checking up on us? Almost weird, although now I feel the need to do something with my page to make it more interesting to the people half way around the world checking it out!

Essay Questions 6 & 9

It is hard to come up with something original for question 6 but I will do my best.
#6. How can you utilize productivity software to enhance teaching and learning? (chapter 3)
Students can use word processors to create professional style documents while the program can help them with grammar and spelling. They thesaurus feature can be used to help students learn different words. Spreadsheets can be used to manipulate math and science data, along with statistical social study data such as population, income data, etc. Online data bases can also be used to research information. Also, concept map tools like kidspiration and inspiration can also be used to learn, as we have seen and experienced in class.
#9. In what classroom situation would an online simulation be an appropriate learning tool? (chapter 6) Outside the book I think online would be useful in the classroom for research. In the book it stated that a class used the internet to research about different climates and to talk to another class in a different climate and compare notes. I think that the limitless research that the internet offers can be used to look at many different areas that you are teaching. From social studies, science, math, and language there are many resources and games for learning to be found on the internet.
